How Dothatshi! earns revenue — and why we never profit from your failure.
How it works
We charge a 0% service fee when you create a contract. That is how we keep the platform running and build new features.
We never make money from you failing — your forfeited amount goes entirely to your chosen charity, motivation boost cause, or our community fund. We earn the same 0% whether you succeed or fail: just the cost of using the service.
Fee is added on top
The fee is separate from your commitment amount and never reduces what you risk. What you promise is what you risk.
Right now the service fee is 0%, for everyone, on every commitment. You pay exactly what you commit, nothing more. We'll bring back a detailed fee breakdown here once the fee goes live again.
What happens in each outcome
You complete your goal
Your commitment amount (₹500) is returned to your wallet in full.
You forfeit
Your commitment amount (₹500) goes to your chosen destination (charity, motivation boost, or community fund), minus any referee rewards.
Draw (Head-to-Head only)
Both participants completed. Both get their full commitment amount back.
Expired (never started)
If the commitment expires before it starts (not enough participants, for example), your commitment amount is refunded in full.
Mini Contracts are free
Your first Mini Contract — the small onboarding commitment when you join the platform — has no service fee. We want you to experience the product before we charge anything.
Our commitment to you
Dothatshi! makes money when you use the platform — not when you fail. We have no incentive to make you lose. Every fee we charge goes toward building a better product, keeping the platform secure, and supporting the community.
The fee is always shown transparently before you confirm your commitment. No hidden charges, no surprises.
