Fees
How Dothatshi! earns revenue, and why the fee never grows with your stake.
How it works
We charge a small flat fee, ₹5 or ₹10, at the moment money actually moves on your commitment. Nothing is charged when you create one.
The fee is the same whether you complete your goal or forfeit it. We do not earn more from your stake growing, and we do not earn more when you fail.
A flat fee, not a percentage
A commitment of ₹500 or under carries a ₹5 fee. Above ₹500, it's ₹10. That's it, regardless of how large the commitment gets.
The fee comes out of the money moving at that moment: your stake coming back to you on success, or your stake going to your chosen destination on forfeit. You never pay it separately, and it's never taken twice on the same commitment.
What happens in each outcome
You complete your goal
Your commitment amount is returned to your wallet, minus the flat fee.
You forfeit
Your commitment amount goes to your chosen destination (charity, motivation boost, or community fund), minus any referee rewards and the flat fee.
Draw (Head-to-Head only)
Both participants completed. Both get their commitment amount back, each minus their own flat fee.
Expired (never started)
If the commitment expires before it starts (not enough participants, for example), your commitment amount is refunded in full. No fee applies, since nothing happened.
Our commitment to you
Dothatshi! makes money when you use the platform, not when you fail. The fee stays fixed regardless of your outcome or your stake size. Every fee we charge goes toward building a better product, keeping the platform secure, and supporting the community.
The fee is always shown transparently before you confirm your commitment. No hidden charges, no surprises.
